“Parayil Kalari” , well known temple, is the “Sree Kumareshwaram Kshethram” belongs to “Panachakuzhi Family” located at Parayil, Edava, near Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram.
Sree Kumareshwaram Kshethram is one of the prominent “Murukalayam” in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Temple is spread over the spacious land and the deities are placed within the separate area called “Chuttambalam”.
“Sree Velayudha Swami’s” deity is in the main house (Aalayam) and the deities of Shiva Parvathi in ardhanarishwara bhavam, Sree Maha Ganapathi and Sree Dharmasastha are housed in separate Aalyams with equal importance in the nalambalam. Brahma Rakshasu, Yogeshwaran, Manthra Moorthy, Yakshi Amma, Yogini, Madan are housed in aaltharakal outside the nalambalam. Nagar Kavu is located in Kanni Moola.
